JAKARTA, March 26 (Xinhua) -- Four passengers were killed and eight others injuried after a pickup car crashed into a tree in the Indonesian province of West Java on Monday, local police said Tuesday.

The accident took place in Eretan Wetan village in Indramayu regency, about 120 km away from Bandung, the provincial capital city, when the driver allegedly lost control and hit a tree, said Indramayu Police Chief Fahri Siregar.

All victims have been evacuated to nearby hospitals, and initial investigation showed the accident was caused by drowsy driving.
