VIENTIANE, March 26 (Xinhua) -- The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) launched the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) Database for Monitoring and Evaluation, aiming to enhance the implementation of data-driven initiatives within the ASEAN socio-cultural sector.
The web-based database is developed by the ASEAN Secretariat to monitor the progress and milestones of the ASCC Blueprint 2025 and relevant socio-cultural indicators, the Lao Economic Daily reported on Tuesday.
The database is a crucial step towards the efficient monitoring and evaluation of the master plan of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community 2025 and its post-2025 strategic direction.
Speaking at the launching ceremony in northern Laos' Luang Prabang on Sunday, Lao Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Suanesavanh Vignaket extended her gratitude to the senior officials and sector representatives who played pivotal roles in developing the database, which marks a significant stride in ASEAN's journey towards a cohesive socio-cultural community.
