ANKARA, March 29 (Xinhua) -- Turkish police have detained two suspects who were internationally sought under the Interpol Red Notice, the country's Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said on Friday.

Talgat Baisaov, wanted for "illegal organization activities and smuggling," and Maxat Rakhishov, wanted for "fraud," were captured during an operation in Türkiye's largest city Istanbul, Yerlikaya said on social media X, without specifying the time of the operation and without disclosing the identity details of the suspects.

The operation was jointly carried out by the national and provincial anti-organized crime institutions, Yerlikaya said.

The suspects have been promptly transferred to the repatriation center for their respective extradition, he added. Enditem
