DAMASCUS -- The death toll from Israeli airstrikes that hit Syria's northern city of Aleppo has risen to 42, a war monitor reported on Friday, updating the previous report of 36 fatalities.

The airstrikes targeted a Hezbollah warehouse in the Jibrin area near Aleppo International Airport before dawn Friday, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. (Syria-Israel-Airstrikes)

JERUSALEM -- Israel is ready to send delegations to Qatar and Egypt for negotiations on a Gaza ceasefire deal, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said in a statement on Friday.

After speaking with David Barnea, head of the Israeli Mossad intelligence agency, and Ronen Bar, chief of the internal security agency Shin Bet, Netanyahu approved the next round of talks "with guidelines for moving forward in the negotiations," according to the statement. GAZA -- The Palestinian death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 32,623, the Hamas-run Health Ministry said in a press statement on Friday.

TEHRAN -- The Azerbaijani Embassy in the Iranian capital Tehran would soon resume its operations, Iran's official news agency IRNA reported on Friday.
