NEW DELHI -- Indian government has ordered the mandatory declaration of the stock position of wheat on a weekly basis from April, officials said Saturday.

It has asked traders, wholesalers, retailers, big chain retailers and processors across the South Asian country to declare their stock position of wheat on every Friday from April 1 till further orders, according to a statement issued by the federal Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. KABUL -- Afghanistan's capital city of Kabul will launch and implement 165 development projects in the current year of 1403 on the Persian calendar, local TV TOLOnews reported on Saturday.

The projects with a cost of 6.4 billion afghanis (89.8 million U.S. dollars) involve the reconstruction, health, agriculture, and transportation sectors and are intended to make the city clean and prosperous, the report added. (Afghanistan-Kabul-Projects)

JAKARTA -- An explosion rocked a military complex near Indonesia's capital city Jakarta on Saturday evening and casualties have not been reported, an officer told local media.

Spokesperson of the Indonesian Army Kristomei Sianturi said the blast occurred at 18:30 p.m. local time (1130 GMT) in a military ammunition warehouse situated in Ciangsana village in Bogor regency, West Java province, around seven km away from the eastern border of Jakarta. (Indonesia-Explosion)

TOKYO -- Japan's health ministry and local authorities on Saturday inspected the Osaka factory of Kobayashi Pharmaceutical following reports of deaths and hospitalizations possibly linked to its dietary supplements containing red yeast rice, known as "beni-koji."

The factory in western Japan, which was making the ingredients of the product named Beni-koji Choleste Help, a type of granules advertised with the effect of lowering LDL cholesterol levels, shut down in December. (Japan-Kobayashi Pharma-Damage) Enditem
