GAZA -- At least four Palestinians were killed and 17 others were wounded on Sunday in an Israeli bombing on tents inside the Al-Aqsa Hospital in the central Gaza Strip, Palestinian eyewitnesses and sources said.

The eyewitnesses reported to Xinhua that a drone fired at least one missile at tents housing displaced persons and journalists in the courtyard of the Al-Aqsa Hospital in the city of Deir al-Balah. (Gaza-Hospital-Israeli Attack)

ANKARA -- Türkiye's main opposition, the Republican People's Party (CHP), led in local elections in key cities, including the country's largest city Istanbul and the capital Ankara, on Sunday, with over 51 percent of the votes, local NTV broadcaster reported, citing initial results.

Turkish Supreme Election Council Chairman Ahmet Yener said 51.2 percent of the total votes were counted and the vote count is still ongoing. (Türkiye-Local Elections-Results)

RAMALLAH -- The Palestinian new government headed by Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa was sworn in here in the West Bank on Sunday.

The new government consists of 23 ministerial portfolios, including at least six ministers from the Gaza Strip. Mustafa will also take over the position of foreign minister from veteran diplomat Riyad Al-Maliki. (Palestine-New Gov't-Formation)

DAMASCUS -- Two civilians were injured in an Israeli attack targeting several military points in the vicinity of the Syrian capital Damascus on Sunday night, according to the Syrian Defense Ministry.

In a statement, the ministry stated that Israel launched an aerial attack from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, wounding two civilians and causing material losses. (Syria-Israeli Attacks-Injuries) Enditem
