DAMASCUS -- Syrian President Bashar al-Assad extended condolences to his Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi on Tuesday, mourning the loss of Iranian military advisors in an Israeli strike on the Iranian consulate building in Damascus, Syria's state-run SANA news agency reported.

During a phone call, Assad expressed deep sympathy to the families of the slain advisors and the Iranian people, condemning the attack as an act of violence against civilians.

Assad also accused Israel of continuing regional violence and brutality, further citing Gaza's ongoing conflict as evidence of Israel's "malevolent intentions." (Syria-Israeli Attack-Iranian Mission)

SEOUL -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Tuesday successfully test-fired an intermediate-range hypersonic ballistic missile with its top leader guiding the event on the spot, the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on Wednesday.

The test-fire marked the first time the country has launched the new-type intermediate-range solid-fueled ballistic missile, called Hwasongpho-16B, which was loaded with newly-developed hypersonic gliding warhead, according to the KCNA report. (DPRK-Missile-Test Fire)

WASHINGTON -- The White House said on Tuesday that it was "outraged" by the news that seven members of a food charity group were killed by Israeli forces in an airstrike in Gaza.

John Kirby, spokesperson for the National Security Council, told a press briefing at the White House that the United States was aware of comments from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) acknowledging responsibility for and pledging investigation into Monday's fatal strike on a convoy of World Central Kitchen (WCK) en route to distributing food to innocent Gazans devastated by Israel's military operation. ADEN, Yemen -- The Central Bank of Yemen (CBY) on Tuesday gave all banks operating in the country a 60-day deadline to move their headquarters from the Houthi-controlled capital Sanaa to the country's southern port city of Aden.

In a decision announced on the bank's website, CBY Governor Ahmed Ghalib warned that any banks defying the order will face potential legal action under Yemen's anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing laws. (Yemen-Central bank-Houthi group). Enditem
