ISLAMABAD, April 4 (Xinhua) -- The Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) successfully conducted an anti-smuggling operation in the country's southwest Gwadar district of Balochistan province, seizing a huge cache of drugs.
The coast guards kicked off a search operation by acting on a tip-off regarding the smuggling of illicit drugs through a boat to some foreign countries from Pakistan, the PCG officials said on Wednesday.
During the operation, high-quality hashish weighing about 164 kg was seized from the boat, said the officials.
The PCG personnel also launched an operation in surrounding areas to arrest the smugglers and trace the facilitators of drug trafficking.
Further investigations into the incident are underway. Enditem
