Urgent: 4.8-magnitude quake jolts NE U.S.

NEW YORK, April 5 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 hit Tewksbury in northern New Jersey at 10:23 a.m. Eastern Time (1423 GMT) on Friday, according to the United States Geological Survey.

With a depth of 4.7 km, the quake was felt in large areas of New Jersey and New York and no damages have been reported so far. Enditem
