KUWAIT CITY -- Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah issued on Sunday a decree accepting the cabinet's resignation and another decree calling on the National Assembly to hold its first session on April 17.

The first decree, carried by the official news agency KUNA, stated that the emir accepted the resignation of the prime minister and other ministers, adding that they would continue to handle the urgent matters of their respective positions until the formation of a new cabinet. JERUSALEM -- Israeli troops were withdrawn from southern Gaza in preparation for a possible operation in the city of Rafah, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said on Sunday.

The forces left Gaza on Sunday are preparing for "follow-up missions," said Gallant during a tour at the Southern Command of Israel Defense Forces (IDF), adding that "we saw examples of such missions in Shifa (hospital), and will see such missions in the Rafah area." (Israel-Withdraw-Gaza-Rafah)

SANAA -- Yemen's Houthi group said in a statement on Sunday that it had carried out five military operations in the past 72 hours, targeting British, Israeli vessels and U.S. warships.

"The operations were carried out with a number of ballistic and winged missiles, and the operations achieved their goals successfully," Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sarea said in the statement aired by the group's al-Masirah TV. (Yemen-Houthis-Attacks)

ELDORET, Kenya -- Kenyan President William Ruto on Sunday said there is no money to pay striking doctors as the industrial action entered its fourth week with both government and medical workers failing to reach an agreement on how to end the stalemate.
