GENEVA, April 8 (Xinhua) -- FIFA unveiled the emblem and brand identity of the 2024 Colombia U-20 Women's World Cup, the world football governing body announced on Monday.

The central theme of the design is the Cano Cristales river in Colombia (nickname Liquid Rainbow), with colors of yellow, blue and red, which are the colors of the country's national flag.

FIFA's Chief Women's Football Officer Dame Sarai Bareman said: "This emblem tells the story of how this tournament can be a springboard to the world stage, and when you look at it, you cannot help but get excited at the prospect of the football and the new talents we are going to see in Colombia."

The tournament will be staged on August 31-September 22. A total of 24 teams will compete for the first time in the tournament, a big increase from 16 in last edition. Enditem
