SEOUL -- South Korean Prime Minister Han Duck-soo offered to resign following the ruling People Power Party's crushing defeat in parliamentary elections, multiple local media said Thursday citing the presidential office.

BANGKOK -- Thailand's industrial confidence improved in March due to increased domestic demand buoyed by the visa exemption scheme and rising foreign tourist arrivals, data showed on Thursday.

The Thai Industries Sentiment Index rose to 92.4 last month from 90.0 in February as most components of the index picked up, including overall sales, total orders, production volume, and business performance, except the operating cost, according to the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI).

ISLAMABAD -- At least 17 people were killed and around 35 others injured in a truck crash in Hub district of Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province, the local rescue service confirmed on Thursday morning.

The accident took place late Wednesday night when a truck carrying religious pilgrims fell into a ditch in Ghulam Hussain Chatta area in the district, Abdul Hakeem, a local representative of Edhi rescue organization told Xinhua. (Pakistan-Balochistan-Road accident)
