WARSAW, April 12 (Xinhua) -- FC Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski praised his team after their 3-2 win against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League quarterfinals on Wednesday.

"It looked really good. We played very well in the first half. In the first minutes of the second half we played as if we would have stayed in the dressing room. The rival scored these two goals quickly, but fortunately we recovered and we were able to win the match," Lewandowski told Polish media on Friday.

"I'm satisfied with my performance. I didn't score, but the most important thing is that we won. Sometimes you have to sacrifice for the team. I'm patient as I feel that I will start scoring again. I'm happy that as a team we got a reward for our hard work," the Pole added.

The second leg will take place on April 16 in Barcelona. "In Paris we proved that we made progress. However, we are aware that we haven't qualified yet. It's just halfway. We have a job to do," the 35-year-old said.

In January, coach Xavi Hernandez announced that he will leave FC Barcelona after this season.

"We have a respect for his decision, I think It's not easy for him. As players we try to take the responsibility for the results. We do everything to achieve success. We'll see what will happen after the season, we don't talk about that now," Lewandowski concluded. Enditem
