SYDNEY, April 13 (Xinhua) -- Police have launched an investigation after two bodies were found in a shipping container in Australia's southeastern state of New South Wales (NSW) on Saturday.

Emergency services were called to Goolma Road in the state's central town of Gulgong at about 11 a.m. (0100 GMT) Saturday, following reports of a concern for welfare, the NSW Police Force said in a statement.

On arrival, officers attached to Orana-Mid Western Police District located two bodies in a shipping container, according to the statement.

A crime scene has been established as an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident continues, police said, adding that a report will be prepared for the information of the coroner. Enditem
