Somali pirates release Bangladesh-flagged ship, crew members

DHAKA, April 14 (Xinhua) -- The Bangladesh-flagged ship MV Abdullah and all of its crew members, who were captured by Somali pirates in the Indian Ocean, have been released, an official said here Sunday.

Mizanul Islam, KSRM Group's media spokesperson, told journalists here that all the crew members including the ship were released from hostage on early Sunday.

According to the KSRM official, all 23 crew members on board are safe, in good health and have been able to contact their relatives.

The release came about a month after the ship and its crew members were taken hostage. The vessel is owned by SR Shipping Limited, a sister concern of Bangladeshi KSRM group. Enditem
