SINGAPORE, April 14 (Xinhua) -- Singaporean police arrested 276 suspects aged between 16 and 71 for scam offenses during an operation from March 29 to April 11, according to the latest statement from police.
The suspects were involved in over 1,200 scam cases, including job scams, investment scams, friend impersonation scams, e-commerce scams, and internet love scams.
Police said the victims lost over 7 million Singapore dollars (5.1 million U.S. dollars).
The suspects were under investigation for cheating, money laundering, or providing payment services without a license. Enditem
