NABLUS, April 15 (Xinhua) -- The Israeli army on Monday killed a Palestinian man and injured two others, one of them critically, during a raid on Nablus city in the northern West Bank, the Palestinian Health Ministry said.
The ministry said in a statement that a man was shot in the chest by live bullets, while medical personnel at Rafidia Hospital were treating another man with a critical chest injury.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported a third man suffering leg injuries from live bullets was transferred to the hospital for treatment.
Clashes broke out after Israeli forces surrounded a house on Al-Marij Street in Nablus on Monday morning and demanded the surrender of a young man, according to Palestinian security sources.
Since the start of the conflict in the Gaza Strip on October 7 last year, 464 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli troops in the West Bank, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry. Enditem
