NAIROBI, April 15 (Xinhua) -- Kenya launched a business hub and digital platform on Monday aimed at promoting domestic and foreign investments in the country.

Rebecca Miano, cabinet secretary for the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry, announced the initiative, known as the Karibu Business Support Center, which includes physical offices across the country and an online portal offering a wide range of services, including advisory support on investments, manufacturing and trade policies.

"It provides businesses with detailed information and seamless interaction with government agencies on investment, industry and trade matters," Miano told journalists in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya.

She urged the business community to take advantage of the centralized services offered at the support center, saying that it represents a collaborative platform for entrepreneurs to thrive, innovate and contribute to the nation's progress.

The initiative will help increase investments in the country through the collection and dissemination of business information and liaison services, and additionally, it will facilitate business linkages between the government, private sector and business-to-business interactions, she said. Enditem
