KUWAIT CITY -- A Kuwaiti Emiri decree was issued on Monday appointing Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as the prime minister of Kuwait and authorizing him to nominate new cabinet members, according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
The appointment follows the acceptance by Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah of the resignation of former Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah on April 7. RAMALLAH -- At least two Palestinian men were killed by Israeli settlers' gunfire south of Nablus city in the West Bank, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said Monday.

GAZA -- Israel released on Monday 150 Palestinians who were detained during the military operations in the Gaza Strip, according to the General Authority for Crossings and Borders in Gaza.
The authority said in a press statement that the Palestinians were released via the Kerem Shalom crossing in the southern Strip.
