TEHRAN -- Iran's nuclear chief Mohammad Eslami reaffirmed on Wednesday the country's commitment to nuclear activities that align with its cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

KIEV -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Jens Stoltenberg on Wednesday agreed to hold an urgent meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council.

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Senate on Wednesday voted along party lines to adjourn the impeachment trial of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, ending the Republican-driven efforts to take down the Biden administration's top border security official.

By a vote of 51-49, the upper chamber adjourned the impeachment trial after the two articles against Mayorkas fell on constitutional points of order, as Democrats argued they did not rise to the level of "high crimes and misdemeanors." (US-Senate-Impeachment)

UNITED NATIONS -- UN humanitarians said on Wednesday that armed rebels raided a Central Africa Republic (CAR) village in southern Mbomou prefecture, killing 14 civilians, wounding several others, and setting homes on fire.
