ISLAMABAD -- Four officials of Pakistan Customs were killed and two other people injured in a terrorist attack in the country's northwest Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Thursday, police officials said.

Unknown assailants riding motorcycles opened fire on the vehicle of an anti-smuggling squad of the Pakistan Customs during a routine patrol in the Saggu area of the district, killing four officials while injuring two passersby, Muhammad Adnan, a senior police official from Dera Ismail Khan Police, told Xinhua. VILNIUS -- The Medininkai border checkpoint has reopened to traffic from Lithuania to Belarus, but remains closed to traffic in the opposite direction after an overnight fire in the post's hangar, the Baltic News Services reported Thursday.

"The passage of vehicles and individuals departing from Lithuania towards Belarus through the Medininkai checkpoint has just been resumed," State Border Guard Service (SBGS) of Lithuania was quoted as saying at 9:35 a.m. local time (0635 GMT) Thursday. (Lithuania-Belarus-Fire)

OUAGADOUGOU -- Three French diplomats have been declared "persona non grata" in Burkina Faso "for subversive activities," according to a note released by the Burkina foreign ministry on Thursday.

The note to the French embassy in Burkina Faso, dated Tuesday, said the three diplomats were ordered to leave the country within 48 hours. (Burkina Faso-France)

MOSCOW -- A drone was neutralized over the roof of the training center building of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant (ZNPP) on Thursday, according to the plant's press service.
