WINDHOEK, April 19 (Xinhua) -- China's Wang Dekang will fight against local favorite Fillipus "Energy" Nghitumbwa for the vacant WBO International super bantamweight title, as the MTC Nestor Sunshine Boxing and Fitness Academy hosts its inaugural event of the year on April 27 at Ramatex, Windhoek.

Confirming the arrival of the Chinese contender, MTC boxing promoter Nestor Tobias informed Xinhua on Friday that Team De-Kang touched down in Namibia on Thursday, setting the stage for a thrilling showdown between the two champions.

"Both fighters are primed and ready," Tobias remarked, noting the palpable anticipation for a potential knockout as evidenced during their face-off.

With an undefeated professional record of 9-0-0 (Win-Loss-Draw), Wang poses a formidable challenge to Nghitumbwa, who boasts a record of 13-2-0.

Tobias revealed that aside from the prestigious WBO International title, the matchup will also put the WBO regional and IBF international super bantamweight titles on the line, promising fans an electrifying spectacle.

In addition to the headline bout, Tobias disclosed that the boxing extravaganza will feature two national title fights spanning four rounds each, along with several undercard bouts and a female exhibition match. Enditem
