RAMALLAH -- At least 14 Palestinians have been killed during an ongoing Israeli military operation for the third consecutive day in the city of Tulkarm and the refugee camp in the northern West Bank, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said on Saturday.

The ministry said in a press statement sent to Xinhua that the bodies of the 14 Palestinian killed were transferred to Tulkarm Hospital from the Nour Shams Palestinian refugee camp east of the city. (Israel-Gaza-Operations)

BEIRUT -- Three Hezbollah members were killed and three civilians wounded on Saturday in Israeli airstrikes on several border towns and villages in southern Lebanon, Lebanese military sources told Xinhua.

The sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, said an Israeli warplane raided a house in Jibbain, a municipality located in Tyre District, killing three Hezbollah members and wounding two civilians, while another warplane targeted a two-story house in the southeastern village of Kafr Kila, injuring one more civilian. ISTANBUL -- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday met with visiting Hamas politburo chief Ismail Haniyeh in Istanbul on the Gaza conflict and relevant peace efforts.

According to the Turkish presidential office, the two leaders discussed Israeli aggression against Palestinian territories, the necessity of guaranteeing sustainable and unimpeded humanitarian aid delivery to the Gaza Strip, and matters concerning a fair and enduring peace process in the region. KABUL -- One person was killed and three others injured as an explosion rocked western Kabul city on Saturday, Kabul police spokesman Khalid Zadran said.
