MANILA, April 21 (Xinhua) -- Three people, including a 10-year-old boy, have been killed and three others injured after their car plunged into a ravine in Benguet province in the northern Philippines, police said Sunday.

Police said the accident occurred around 4 a.m. local time on Saturday along a highway while the victims were heading to Baguio City for a weekend getaway from Quezon province, south of Manila, where the victims live.

Initial investigation showed that the sports utility vehicle crashed into road signage after the driver lost control, causing it to plunge into a 100-meter-deep ravine. Enditem
