JAKARTA -- Five people were killed and 15 others were injured in a train-bus accident on Sunday in Indonesia, an official said.

The accident occurred at a crossing in East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, South Sumatra province at around 13:10 p.m. (GMT 0610) local time, according to Azhar Zaki Assjari, public relations manager of PT KAI Divre IV Tanjung Karang. (Indonesia-Accident)

COLOMBO-- Voting in the Maldives' parliamentary election ended at 5:30 p.m. local time (1230 GMT) on Sunday. Poll workers started counting votes 30 minutes after the ballot boxes were closed.

RAMALLAH -- A general strike took place on Sunday in the West Bank in condemnation of the killing of 14 Palestinians in three-day Israeli raids in the northern part of the territory.

The strike was held to condemn the Israeli military operation in the city of Tulkarm and its Nour Shams refugee camp, Issam Bakr, coordinator of the National and Islamic Forces in Ramallah, told Xinhua. ISLAMABAD -- Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi is scheduled to pay a visit to Pakistan from April 22 to 24, the Foreign Ministry of Pakistan said on Sunday.
