RAMALLAH -- A general strike took place on Sunday in the West Bank in condemnation of the killing of 14 Palestinians in three-day Israeli raids in the northern part of the territory.

The strike was held to condemn the Israeli military operation in the city of Tulkarm and its Nour Shams refugee camp, Issam Bakr, coordinator of the National and Islamic Forces in Ramallah, told Xinhua. GAZA -- The Palestinian death toll from ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip has risen to 34,097, the Hamas-run Health Ministry said in a statement on Sunday.

ADEN, Yemen -- Heavy rains and floods have led to the deaths of four people and affected over 3,000 families of internally displaced persons in Yemen, officials said on Sunday.

Yemeni health authority in Hadramout province reported that four individuals died when their vehicle was swept away by floodwaters in Ayeen Valley. BEIRUT -- One Amal Movement member was killed and two others wounded on Sunday in an Israeli airstrike on a southern Lebanese village, according to Lebanese military sources.
