During the drill until May 10, the Lithuanian Armed Forces and government institutions will practice performing a full transition to wartime mode, Lithuania's Ministry of Defence said in a press statement.

According to the statement, 10,000 active and reserve personnel will be called up for service for the drill, with about 2,500 for active training, while another 2,000 will have to report to check their personal data.

The training will also involve over 4,000 members of the Lithuanian Armed Forces, along with members of the Riflemen's Union and local administrations.

The exercise will also include training of commandants assigned to municipalities, the formation of commandant units and their functions, training on the requisitioning of material assets, and the temporary introduction of a curfew in certain areas of the capital Vilnius and central city of Kaunas.
