JERUSALEM -- Israel on Tuesday ordered residents of the city of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip to evacuate "urgently" ahead of a new planned onslaught in the area.

HONIARA -- The party led by Solomon Islands' incumbent Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare won most seats in the country's parliamentary election, with no party or political coalition garnering an overall majority, national broadcaster SIBC reported on Wednesday local time.

ADDIS ABABA -- At least 16 migrants have died and 28 others are missing after a boat capsized off the coast of Djibouti, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) said Tuesday.

"Tragedy as boat capsizes off Djibouti coast with 77 migrants on board including children. At least 28 missing, 16 dead," the IOM said on X, formerly Twitter. The UN migration agency said it is assisting local authorities with search and rescue efforts. (IOM-Migrants-Djibouti)

BEIRUT -- Lebanese militant group Hezbollah said on Tuesday that it launched a drone attack targeting positions in the Israeli northern city of Acre, in retaliation to the killing of one of its officials in Israeli airstrikes.
