KHARTOUM, April 23 (Xinhua) -- Four drones on Tuesday attacked a Sudanese army headquarters in northern Sudan's Nahr al-Neel State, without causing any damage, according to local media reports.

"Four drones targeted the military airport inside the military base in Shendi city. Three drones were shot down, and the fourth changed its course and left the area," Sudan Akhbar reported on its website, citing an anonymous military source.

The attack did not cause any damage to the airport inside the Sudanese army's 3rd Infantry Division in Shendi, said the report.

Meanwhile, the Sudanese Al Tagyheer electronic newspaper quoted military sources as saying that the fourth drone was shot down by an army combat helicopter.

Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, chairman of Sudan's Transitional Sovereign Council and general commander of the Sudanese Armed Forces, visited Shendi on Monday. Enditem
