YANGON, April 25 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar earned 271 million U.S. dollars from mineral exports in the fiscal year 2023-24, according to the Ministry of Commerce on Thursday.
The figure was down by 66 million dollars compared to the 2022-23 fiscal year when mineral exports totaled 337 million dollars.
Of this total, 37 million dollars came from the government sector, while the private sector contributed 233 million dollars during the fiscal year 2023-24, the ministry's data showed.
Myanmar mainly exports agricultural, animal and marine products, minerals, forest products and manufactured goods to its foreign trade partners, including China, Thailand, Bangladesh and India, according to the ministry. Enditem
