SANAA -- Yemen's Houthi group on Thursday claimed responsibility for the attack on the MSC Darwin ship in the Gulf of Aden and the launch of missiles toward the Israeli city of Eilat.
"We attacked the Israeli ship, MSC Darwin, in the Gulf of Aden with a number of naval missiles and drones, hitting it accurately," Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sarea said in a televised statement aired by the Houthi-run al-Masirah TV. (Yemen-Houthi Attack-Israeli Targets)

DAKAR -- Thirteen people were killed and around 40 others were injured in a traffic accident in central Senegal Thursday evening, local media reported.

JERUSALEM -- Israel's army announced on Thursday that the construction of a floating pier off Gaza's seashore has begun, intending to deliver desperately needed aid to the besieged Palestinian enclave.
The so-called Joint Logistics Over-the-Shore initiative, led by the United States Central Command, would create a temporary floating pier to deliver humanitarian aid from the sea into Gaza, the Israeli military said in a statement. (Israel-Gaza Pier Construction-U.S.) Enditem
