TOKYO, April 26 (Xinhua) -- Japan's ANA Holdings Inc. saw its net profit rose 75.6 percent to a record 157.10 billion yen (about 1 billion U.S. dollars) in the fiscal year of 2023 led by strong air travel demand, the company said on Friday.

The parent company of All Nippon Airways reported a record operating income of 207.9 billion yen, with the operating profit margin exceeding 10 percent for the first time, according to the financial results released on Friday.

For the fiscal year ending in March, revenue for international passenger service rose 68 percent to a record high of 728.1 billion yen, surpassing that of domestic passenger service for the first time, said the company.

On top of robust inbound travel demand, analysts pointed out that the recent depreciation of the Japanese yen has also lured more foreign tourists to Japan.

Due to fierce competition and increased investment in human resource, the company expected its net profit to fall 30 percent to 110 billion yen for the current year ending March next year. (1 U.S. dollar equals 156.84 Japanese yen) Enditem
