SANAA -- Yemen's Houthi group said early Saturday that they had launched a missile attack and hit a British oil tanker in the Red Sea and shot down a U.S. drone in northern Yemen.

"Our naval forces (on Friday) targeted a British oil ship, Andromeda Star, in the Red Sea with a number of appropriate naval missiles and hit it directly," Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sarea read a statement in the Houthi-run al-Masirah TV channel. (Yemen-Houthis-US-Drone)

BAGHDAD -- Four people were killed on Friday in a drone attack on a gas field in Iraq's Kurdistan region, prompting condemnation from both regional and federal authorities.

Peshawa Hawramani, the spokesperson for the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), said in a statement that the strike killed four Yemeni nationals working at the field and inflicted significant damage upon the infrastructure. BEIRUT -- Two leaders of the Islamic Group were killed on Friday in an Israeli airstrike on the West Bekaa region in eastern Lebanon, Lebanese military sources said.

The sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that an Israeli drone fired two air-to-surface missiles at a vehicle traveling on a road linking the villages of Sarira and Meidoun in West Bekaa, burning the car and killing two people inside. (Lebanon-Israeli Airstrikes-Toll)

ADDIS ABABA -- The number of people arriving in Ethiopia due to the conflict in Sudan has surpassed 122,000, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) has disclosed.

The UNOCHA, in its latest Ethiopia humanitarian situation update issued Friday, said about 122,500 returnees, refugees and asylum seekers have crossed into Ethiopia from conflict-affected Sudan through several border towns, mainly Metema and Kurmuk towns. (Ethiopia-Sudan-Conflict) Enditem
