TOKYO -- Japan's ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) led by Prime Minister Fumio Kishida lost all three lower house seats on Sunday, as the country's main opposition party won big by sweeping victories in three key by-elections.

TOKYO -- China has lodged solemn representations to Japan over its moves of infringement and provocation regarding the Diaoyu Islands, the spokesperson of the Chinese embassy in Japan said on Sunday.

BANGKOK -- Thailand's Foreign Minister Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara on Sunday announced his resignation from the ministerial post, the official Thai News Agency (TNA) reported, citing his resignation letter sent to Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin.
