Singapore records less corruption reports in 2023

SINGAPORE, April 30 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) received 215 corruption-related reports last year, an 8-percent decrease from 2022, according to CPIB's annual report published Tuesday.

The CPIB registered 81 cases for investigation in 2023, including 70 cases from the private sector.

A total of 111 individuals were prosecuted in the court last year. Among them, 105 were from the private sector, while the remaining were employees from public agencies. Enditem
