LONDON -- A 13-year-old boy was confirmed dead and four others were injured after a man wielding a sword attacked members of the public and police officers in Hainault, east London, on Tuesday.
"He (the boy) was taken to hospital after being stabbed and sadly died a short while after," said Stuart Bell, chief superintendent of the Metropolitan Police. The other four people being hospitalized include two police officers and two members of the public. (UK-London-Stabbing)

BRUSSELS -- The economy in the Eurozone saw modest growth in the first quarter of this year, although economists have cautioned against overhyping its recovery.

JERUSALEM -- A Turkish national was shot and killed by Israeli police in East Jerusalem on Tuesday after he allegedly "carried out a stabbing attack," injuring a Border Police officer, Israel's police said in a statement.
The suspect, identified as 34-year-old Hasan Sklanen, entered Israel from Jordan as a tourist on Monday and stabbed the officer near Harod's Gate in Jerusalem's Old City, the police said. (Israel-Turkish National-Stabbing Attack) Enditem
