NEW DELHI, May 4 (Xinhua) -- At least five university students including a female, aged between 20 and 22, died in a road accident in north India on Saturday, a local police officer told Xinhua over phone.

The accident occurred in the northern hilly state of Uttarakhand at around 05:00 local time, when a car carrying the students skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge. One injured female student was admitted to a local hospital. Her condition is said to be serious.

Local villagers rushed to their help. Later, local police and personnel of the local fire department reached the spot. Enditem
