DODOMA, May 4 (Xinhua) -- Tanzanian authorities on Saturday urged people, including fishermen, in four coastal regions of Dar es Salaam, Mtwara, Lindi, and Coast to take precautions as tropical storm Hidaya approaches the country's Indian Ocean coast.

The chief government spokesperson, Mobhare Matinyi, said fishermen and marine transporters should be highly cautious as the latest forecasts by the Tanzania Meteorological Authority indicated that the tropical storm is close to the coast.

TMA said the severe tropical storm is expected to continue propagating toward the coastal areas of the country while slightly weakening toward Saturday night. Enditem
