ROME, May 5 (Xinhua) -- Gleison Bremer's header saved Juventus in Serie A as they drew with Roma 1-1 away on Sunday, as the Bianconeri continued their dismal run.

Juve failed to register a win in the previous four outings before Sunday, while Roma was coming off a Europa League defeat to Bayer Leverkusen. The fixture was at stake as both sides still hadn't confirmed their next season's Champions Leagues spots.

The home side broke the deadlock in the 15th minute when Bryan Cristante's strike was blocked, only for Romelu Lukaku to tap in the loose ball.

The Old Lady got back on level terms in the 31st minute when Federico Chiesa whipped in a cross from the right, before Bremer steered a header into the net.

Chiesa should have found the net right straight after the break, but his attempt smashed the post, while Moise Kean's header in the dying minutes forced a one-handed save out of Roma's goalkeeper Mile Svilar.

After the draw, Juve still ranks third with 66 points, while Roma remains fifth, but should be wary of Atalanta who is three points behind but has two games in hand.

Also on Sunday, AC Milan fought back twice and had made it 3-2 through Olivier Giroud, but Malick Thiaw's own goal in the 87th minute let the Rossoneri have to concede a 3-3 draw with Genoa at San Siro.

Elsewhere, Cagliari tied with Lecce 1-1, Hellas Verona beat Fiorentina 2-1, while Empoli and Frosinone played out a goalless draw. Enditem
