Vietnam's state budget collection in 4 months reaches 43 pct of yearly target

HANOI, May 7 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam posted a budget collection of 640.29 trillion Vietnamese dong (25.20 billion U.S. dollars) in the first four months of 2024, equivalent to 43 percent of the yearly projection, Vietnam News Agency reported Tuesday, citing the General Department of Taxation.

The collection represented a year-on-year rise of 10.7 percent, according to the report.

Of total, collection from crude oil was about 21.23 trillion dong, equal to 46.2 percent of the projection and equal to that in the same period last year.

Domestic collection was estimated at 619.06 trillion dong, 43 percent of the projection and up 11 percent over the same period last year, said the department.

According to the department, in the rest of the year, the tax sector will show stronger performance in implementing support packages to help businesses remove difficulties and create sustainable income sources for the state, while designing new packages. (1 VND equals 0.000039 USD) Enditem
