MANILA -- Three people have been killed and one severely injured following a multi-vehicle crash in Nueva Ecija province, north of Manila, police said Tuesday.

Police said the accident happened on Monday after an Asian utility vehicle hit the rear of the tricycle carrying the three victims, causing it to lose control and collide with an oncoming tanker truck along a highway in Cabanatuan City in Central Luzon. (Philippines-Crash)

PHNOM PENH -- Cambodia on Tuesday held a blessing ceremony to mark the departure for France of a large bronze statue of the famous reclining Vishnu along with 39 fragments.

HONG KONG -- The inaugural Global Talent Summit opened Tuesday in China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), the first talent-themed international forum and exhibition organized by the current HKSAR government in its drive to attract global talent.

Addressing the two-day summit, HKSAR Chief Executive John Lee said that talent gets to thrive and grow in Hong Kong, a world-class economy. KABUL -- Afghan and Turkmen companies signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) and contracts worth over 200 million U.S. dollars, state-run Bakhtar News Agency reported Monday.

The signing of two MoUs and over 10 contracts was overseen by the Acting Minister of Commerce and Industry of Afghanistan, the governor of the western Afghan Province of Herat, and chairman of the union of tradesmen and industrialists of Turkmenistan in Herat, Bakhtar stated. JAKARTA -- Three people were killed and two others were critically injured after a passenger train hit a car in Indonesia's Pasuruan regency in East Java province on Tuesday morning, local police said.

Pasuruan Police Deputy Chief Andria Diana Putra said that the fatal accident occurred at around 8:40 a.m. local time when a car with seven people on board trespassed at a railroad crossing without a bar gate in Rejoso subdistrict. (Indonesia-Road Accident) Enditem
