YANGON, May 10 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar authorities have seized 454,100 stimulant tablets in northern Myanmar's Kachin State, according to a statement from the Central Committee for Drug Abuse Control (CCDAC) on Friday.
Acting on a tip-off, anti-narcotics police intercepted a vehicle in Mohnyin Township of Kachin State on May 6 and confiscated the drugs and three mobile phones.
The seized drugs are worth over 681 million kyats (about 324,285 U.S. dollars).
Three suspects were arrested for the case, the CCDAC said, adding they were charged under the Southeast Asian country's Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, and further investigations were underway. Enditem
