ZURICH, Switzerland, May 9 (Xinhua) -- RB Salzburg of Austria and England's Arsenal won men's and women's titles respectively at the 2024 Blue Stars/FIFA Youth Cup at the Sportzentrum Buchlern here on Thursday.

Salzburg beat defending champions FC Zurich 4-1 in the men's final, while Arsenal's girls drew 0-0 with local team FC Basel before triumphing 4-3 in a penalty shootout.

A total of 16 teams around the world competed in the 84th edition of the Blue Stars tournament, an international U19 women's and men's competition that has taken place continuously since 1939, with the exceptions of 2020 and 2021.

Salzburg forward Kenneth Adejenughure won the Golden Ball and goalkeeper Silas Huber of FC Zurich was awarded the Golden Glove, while Arsenal's Maddy Earl and FC Basel's Irina Fuchs won the respective women's awards. Enditem
