COLOMBO, May 17 (Xinhua) -- Jagath Kumara Sumithraarachchi, chairman of the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Open and Accountable Government, on Friday said measures are being implemented to launch a technology-driven program to reduce corruption and fraud in Sri Lanka.

Addressing a press conference at Presidential Media Center, Sumithraarachchi said government employees must fulfil their duties to the public.

He said his committee has accomplished significant work in the public interest, focusing on strengthening government operations transparently and responsibly.

The committee is evaluating public service performance by reviewing the annual performance reports of all government institutions, including the Supreme Court, judicial system, and various ministries, he said. Enditem
