SINGAPORE, May 24 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's manufacturing production decreased 1.6 percent year-on-year in April, narrowing from the 9.2-percent contraction in March, according to data released by the Economic Development Board Friday.
Biomedical manufacturing production contracted 29.1 percent year-on-year last month, mainly led by a 54.6 percent decline in the pharmaceuticals segment.
Meanwhile, transport engineering output increased 10.6 percent year-on-year in April, and general manufacturing production grew 7.3 percent last month. Enditem
