BUENOS AIRES, June 15 (Xinhua) -- A first-half goal from former Udinese winger Ignacio Pussetto gave Huracan a 1-0 home win over Independiente Rivadavia in Argentina's Primera Division on Saturday.

Pussetto put the hosts ahead in the 15th minute at El Palacio by heading home from the edge of the six-yard box after a Cesar Ibanez cross from the left wing.

The visitors were dealt a further blow in the 67th minute when Francisco Petrasso was shown a straight red card for an ugly challenge on Chilean midfielder Williams Alarcon.

Despite their numerical disadvantage, Independiente Rivadavia continued to push for an equalizer but Huracan survived to secure their fourth win of the campaign.

Frank Kudelka's men are now second in the 28-team standings with 13 points from five outings, behind leaders Talleres Cordoba on goal difference. Independiente Rivadavia are 13th, six points further back.

In other Argentine Primera Division matches on Saturday, Union Santa Fe clinched a 2-1 home victory over San Lorenzo and Atletico Tucuman were held to a 1-1 home draw by Defensa y Justicia. Enditem
