KIEV -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Monday replaced commander of the Joint Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said the presidential press service.

Zelensky dismissed Lieutenant General Yuriy Sodol and appointed Brigadier General Andriy Hnatov as the new chief of the Joint Forces, according to the decrees published on the presidential website. (Ukraine-Raplace of military commander)

GAZA -- At least seven Palestinians were killed and 22 others wounded in an Israeli airstrike in Bani Suhaila town in the east of Khan Younis city in southern Gaza, the Hamas-run health authorities said Monday.

BERLIN -- One police officer was killed and another severely injured in a road accident involving Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban's motorcade on its way to Stuttgart Airport, according to German media reports on Monday.

The incident occurred around 11:15 a.m. (0915 GMT) when a 69-year-old female driver failed to notice the police blockade set up for the convoy. She collided with two police motorcycles leading Orban's vehicle, according to a statement from the Stuttgart public prosecutor's office.(Germany-Orban-Accident)

TUNIS -- The death toll among Tunisian pilgrims who performed Hajj in Saudi Arabia's Mecca has risen to 60, Tunisian national radio reported on Monday.
