Road accidents claim 57 lives in Laos in June

VIENTIANE, July 17 (Xinhua) -- A total of 57 people were killed in road accidents across Laos in June, a decrease from the previous month of 77.

Laos recorded a total of 460 road incidents nationwide, resulting in 799 injuries and 57 fatalities, and 817 vehicles damaged in June, Lao national TV reported on Wednesday.

The main causes of road accidents were speeding, drunk driving and reckless driving. Traffic police urge drivers to strictly adhere to traffic laws and exercise caution on roads. Enditem
