TOKYO -- Japan's Fukushima prefectural government will stop providing temporary housing for evacuees of the two towns hosting the crippled Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant at the end of March 2026, local media reported.
The move came as living conditions are expected to improve for residents of Futaba Town and Okuma Town, who fled their homes following the nuclear disaster in 2011, Kyodo News reported. (Japan-Fukushima-Nuclear Refugee)

PHNOM PENH -- A Cambodian military helicopter that went missing on July 12 was found in the Cardamom Mountains on Monday, with one person confirmed dead and another one still missing.
"After a 17-day search operation, our search team found the missing helicopter in the Cardamom Mountains on July 29, 2024," Gen. KABUL -- Afghan caretaker government's Acting Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs Mawlawi Abdul Kabir left Kabul for Iran with a delegation on Monday, a statement of the Prime Minister's Office said.

TOKYO -- Three members of a family died in an apparent stabbing incident in central Japan's Shizuoka prefecture on Sunday, local media reported.
