Death toll from gas leak at IRGC facility in central Iran rises to 2

TEHRAN, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) -- The death toll from a gas leak at a workshop belonging to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has risen to two, the official news agency IRNA reported Thursday.

The incident occurred at one of the IRGC's centers in the central province of Isfahan on Wednesday night, IRNA quoted a statement from the IRGC's Saheb al-Zaman Corps in Isfahan as saying.

The statement added that initially one was killed and 10 others wounded in the gas leak, but one of the injured later succumbed to his injuries.

The victims were identified as Captain Mojtaba Nazari and Colonel Mokhtar Morshedi, said the report, adding they would be laid to rest on Friday and Saturday in the cities of Qahdarijan and Fereydunshahr in Isfahan province, respectively. Enditem
